Databases

This unit covered the following learning aims:
• understand the uses of and tools/techniques used in databases
• design a relational database • develop and test a relational database
• review the finished relational database.

The Database development unit is very similar to Spreadsheet development. Both are powerful tools that work with large amounts of data. For the first assignment we had to do research on the features and functions of a database. I also had to evaluate two examples of databases, I learned about the ways that data can be stored and manipulated using formulae.
