This externally examined unit covered the following learning aims:
• investigate online services and online communication
• investigate components of the internet and how digital devices exchange and store information
• investigate issues with operating online.
The online world unit covered online services such as social media and real time services. It also covers the different devices and technologies that are used to share and receive information; for example the internet and mobile phones.
